Senior children have been trained in spike ball during lunch breaks.
Hip hop/traditional Irish dance classes have been provided free of charge by qualified dance teachers.
Gymnastics has been enhanced by staff teaching alongside a qualified gymnastics coach.
Cycle Safety training has been organised and provided by the RSA and Mayo County Council. Following this, children put their skills into action at the BMX track in Ballinrobe.
Football training is provided by local GAA coaches.
Some additional athletics coaching has been provided by parents who are members of the Swinford Athletics club.
Students on the Outdoor Education course at GMIT have worked with teachers to promote outdoor activities for children.
Students in transition year have worked alongside coaches and teachers to develop throwing, catching, passing and other football skills.
All children, from Junior Infants up, attend swimming lessons in Ballina pool during the summer term.
